Once a bland, white Ikea desk that had grown old and faded, I decided to add my own flair! I added a unique mosaic design and made it look brand new!
About the Desk
To remodel my desk, I began by removing all of the drawers and cabinets. I sanded them down in preparation for design and painting. Then I took an old sheet of plastic (once the cover to a Five Star notebook that I was done with) and drew a mosaic design, which I then cut out. Then I used it to put layers of spackle onto the drawers in the mosaic design. Once finished, I sprayed them with sealant and white paint. Then I sanded down my desk and painted that, too. And voila! A brand new desk!
